Buying Guide — Key Considerations For Memorial Car Decals
- Design and personalization: Decide between angel-wing designs, photo-inlaid decals, or text-focused memorials. Customization options influence emotional impact and readability from a distance.
- Material and durability: Outdoor vinyl with waterproof, UV-resistant properties lasts longer in sun, rain, and harsh conditions. Check for fade resistance and adhesive quality for vehicle surfaces.
- Size and placement: Window decals typically require legibility without obstructing the driver’s view. Consider window height, curvature, and visibility at typical driving speeds.
- Color options: A broader color palette helps match vehicle colors and personal preferences. Light colors on dark backgrounds may be more legible in daylight, while darker colors work well on light backgrounds.
- Application and removal: Semi-permanent adhesives offer easier removal but may still require careful technique to avoid scratching. Test on a small area first and follow manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintenance: Weatherproof decals resist rain and sun, but occasional cleaning with mild soap and water is recommended. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage the graphic.
