Buying Guide: Key Purchase Considerations
What to consider when choosing a treat yo self card
Purpose: Decide if you want a single note, a bulk set, or a game-style gift. Alignment with the recipient’s style matters more than the occasion alone.
Card quality and materials
Look for thick cardstock, a blank interior for personalization, and secure envelopes. Premium finishes add perceived value and durability.
Gift compatibility
If the card is a money holder, ensure the slots accommodate cash or typical gift cards. For non-money cards, consider space for a heartfelt message.
Size and orientation
5×7, 7×5, or 5×4.25 sizes affect how a card sits in a gift bag or mailbox. Ensure your preferred orientation fits the greeting’s design.
Recipient considerations
Humor and tone should match the recipient’s personality. Seasonal cards should align with the time of year and the recipient’s sense of humor.
Cost considerations
Bulk sets often offer better per-card value. The single-card option may be perfect for a premium, individual gift.
