Buying Guide
What’s the difference between a WoW time card and an eGift card?
A WoW time card provides direct access to World of Warcraft for a set period, typically requiring a WoW account. An eGift card from Amazon or Visa can be used for a variety of purchases; it offers flexibility but does not grant in-game time by itself.
Who should consider a WoW time card?
Best for new players who want immediate access to the game, returning players rejoining after a break, or anyone seeking a straightforward, game-specific gift with no extra decisions.
When is a flexible gift card better?
For recipients who savor choice or already purchase many in-game items elsewhere, flexible options like the Amazon eGift Card or Visa Virtual Card can be valuable complements to a game-time gift.
How should you redeem each option?
WoW time cards are typically redeemed within the Battle.net account associated with the game. Amazon and Visa eGift cards are redeemed online on their respective merchant pages or checkout flows. Always follow the specific redemption instructions included with the card.
Are there any limitations to consider?
WoW time cards provide limited access tied to the subscription window. Some generic eGift cards have broad use but no gaming-specific benefits. Consider pairing a time card with a flexible gift to maximize value for the recipient.
What combination is recommended for a balanced gift?
Pair a 60-day WoW time card with a flexible eGift card (Amazon or Visa) to cover ongoing game time plus discretionary purchases. This approach supports both immediate access and future shopping flexibility.
